Happenings at the Brooklyn Yard

When the Union Pacific bought out the Southern Pacific one of the properties they acquired was the Brooklyn Yard in Portland, Oregon.

In addition to the classification tracks and the intermodal/truck terminal the Brooklyn Roundhouse, home of the SP&S 700 and SP 4449 (two giant Northern class steam locomotives), is located here.

Pictures taken on Thursday, Dec 23rd (the day the SP&S 700 returned to the roundhouse after Holiday Junction at OMSI).
