BCSJ III - Trackwork in Redland - August 31, 2006
The citizens in Redland are quite happy now that those lazy bums over
at Hillmovers Construction Co and the Bear Creek and South Jackson
have finally gotten working on restoring their town. Trackwork is more
than halfway complete at this point with only 4 more turnouts to be
installed.
The rough ground has been in place for many months but its only recently
that the track crews showed up. Redland still awaits a bridge over
Redland Creek between north and south Redland but its anticipated that
trains will be able to run again real-soon-now[tm]. Scenery is still
rudimentary and is likely to remain that way until Hillmovers gets the
Roberts Creek area above Redland sceniced (to avoid messy drips falling
on finished scenery below). Many buildings remain to be constructed
but you should be able to get a good idea of what the place will look
like.
Railroad management is pleased with the prospect of being able to run
trains again soon after a more than year long hiatus.
I hope you enjoy this construction update.
