Jordan, red shirt, a BC&SJ regular usually pulls dispatcher or yard master duty and has been coveting the Junction City Turn since Junction City went into action in February 2015. Tonight he finally got it. The scenery in Junction City is all plywood at this point with only a few rudimentary structures, but switching this location is a lot of fun.

The JCT crew arrives in town from Bear Creek yard (coming left to right) and starts banging cars on the depot siding (aisle-side of the main). There's a sense of urgency because passenger local No.21 will be arriving soon and all the moves on this track need to be accomplished and the depot siding cleared before that happens. Train 100, the reefer express will also be showing up and JCT must have the main clear for them.

The JCT's crew generally faces the backdrop when working so the rest of the railroad fades away and they feel as though they're isolated, out on the high iron somewhere. Then trains 21 and 100 descend on Junction City and the place is a hive of activity, but soon they're gone and the JCT crew is alone again. How cool is that!
