The first snafu of the night has happened. Cabforward SP4111 has quit working. It was making appropriate sound
effects but it won't turn its drivers. The comapny helicopter quickly appeared on the scene bearing a replacement
for the BLI model, a GN FT followed by a RS2 (undec). These units have enough power to get the 21 cars in train
201 lifted over the summit, so the day is saved (and the cab forward will go wait on the RIP track).
Doug (grey shirt in the middle) brought the South Jackson helper down from Oakhill and has been waiting around. If the cabforward hadn't broken down, he be cut into 201 just before the caboose, helping to get the train up to Oakhill. Now, he'll be needing to find another job (of which there are plenty). |
