The GN passenger extra was delayed by a crew shortage. Then when it had a crew, its slot in the train lineup
had passed making it difficult for this extra to dodge the regular trains (trains listed in timetable). Finally
it made it to South Jackson from Salem where it needs to reverse direction before heading down the Deschutes
branch.
Mike and Rodger are coordinating with the yard crew to run around their train with locos and the baggage car. David, the first trick yard master became the second trick dispatcher and Brad, pencil in hand, became South Jackson yard master for the remainder of the session. |
