Meanwhile back at South Jackson yard we observe Len B (further away) the YM and Jim B. (nearer) his assistant (or minion?) working on the big pile of cars BCHE left them on its way to Pocatello. BCHW also gave them a few cars so there was quite a block being shoved around by the switch engine at this point (you can only see the last two box cars of that cut in this photo). Good thing the yard lead in South Jackson is reaaallly long. South Jackson is what I call my 'scrap box' yard, as it's constructed almost entirely from pieces of wood and track recycled from my previous BC&SJ layout. At some point this temporary benchwork and track will get replaced with new benchwork and the final track arrangement.
