For this session Hillmovers Construction managed to get some rockitry done near the west portal of tunnel 3. The crew call produced a motley group of 14 hands lookin' fer action. We ran train line-up G (see the Session Info page for details) with its regular 14 trains. However today the railroad brass showed up at Salem unannounced wanting to tour the line to Pocatello so the train count was 12 freights, 2 passengers, plus the brass-hat special for 15 total.

The session ran 12 fast hours with a 4:1 fast clock (3 real hours). All trains ran and amazingly enough we finished up not terribly far behind schedule!

For the most part things ran pretty well. Except for SP4100, a BLI AC4 (cab foward) which lost its mind and needed a system reset to get running again. Sigh. The Superintendent of Movtive Power Acquisition managed to get a Baldwin switcher from the GN to stand in for Redland's 0-8-0 which is still in the shop for repairs. Mostly the rolling stock stayed on the track too (always a nice thing, eh?).

The Superintendent of Nearly Everything got pressed into dispatching the railroad as there appeared to be a walk-out by the other dispatchers. A couple of idle foamers (Joe Fugate and Jim Moomaw) were handed a camera and told to document the session with some photos (when they weren't busy with other duties). Some of those pictures are presented here for your enjoyment.
