This very lightly traveled dirt road was modeled with a rough surface.

Note the tire ruts going up over the track.

Cross bucks are a nice touch. But the plastic ones will become translucent (not opaque) if a light source is behind them. I painted them with silver paint then repainted the white color over the silver to block light transmission (no ghost cross bucks please!).
