Outdoors - The edge of the world is about 5 or 6 inches past the tracks (beyond the first row of trees). But the background trees (and the road in the distance in front of the SD7's nose) are far enough away to make the transition work. If the train wasn't there blocking the view this picture would likely look a little funny with edge of the world problems.
