Outdoors - The edges of the universe are more or less hidden by clumps of bushes and the all pervasive trees. It might be a lot harder to make a desert diorama blend in with a background because there wouldn't be so much stuff to disguise the edge with.

Another problem with outdoor photos is getting the headlights lit in the locos. I cheated here and used PhotoShop.
