Backdrop Painting Starts At Junction City!
It's official. The war on empty backdrops is now being pursued on another front, Junction City!
I've spent a bunch of time lately watching YouTube videos on how to paint scenery. Not model railroad scenery but highly detailed/artistic landscape painting. My favorite channels for this are
Each of these channels features a highly talented artist's tutorials and demonstrations.
After my success (well imho) painting the backdrops behind the mainline tracks approaching the Lower Bear Creek bridge crossing (right of the bridge), I felt encouraged to start backdrop painting over in Junction City.
These shots document the first foot of finished backdrop with some mocked up scenery in front of it. Now I'm itching to get those paint brushes back in hand and do some more! How much can I finish before the January 2020 op session?
