Feb 20, 2016 - With the scenery contours nearly finalized it was time to finish the branchline's tunnel portal. Note the batter of the portal's wing walls and the ledger across the top. The wings are made from two pieces of 1/8" Masonite lamintated back-to-back smooth side out. The wings were attached with construction adhesive because it was better at filling little gaps than yellow glue. I coated the abuting end of a wing wall, smooshed it into place, and propped there with whatever was at hand that was the right height/shape. After the construction adhesive set, I did the other wing wall.
