Dec 2013 - Track work has started on the peninsula. The area being documented is against the right wall in the distance. This area is just down grade from Upper Bear Creek where the scenery ends above what is now the Siskiyou staging area. Not too long ago, the temporary Salem staging yard occupied this spot, but Salem staging was moved to the peninsula which will add another mile of mainline to the layout.
