After much thought, deliberation, and procrastination the BC&SJ has finally determined the 'official' freight engine paint scheme. Many thanks (actually more thanks than that!) to my friend Joe Brugger for shooting (and helping to create) the new scheme on BC&SJ RS1 number 40. In the words of Horace Fithers it looks "Darned fine!". Actually it looks better than that (and is about infinitely better than the battle ship gray previously in use).

The company photographer caught freshly painted BC&SJ 40 up in Oakhill last week and took a few pictures (actually he took a whole bunch but only a few came out).
