Mill Bend looking east toward South Jackson the Mill Bend cars (on track 3) and the Deschutes branch cars (on track 2) seem to march on forever. The original BC&SJ plans didn't call for a real yard at South Jackson, but its a logical place to put one since it serves Mill Bend and the junction between the mainline and branchline.

Even the benchwork is recycled in this yard. It was recycled from Salem staging on the previous BC&SJ.
