The canned goods express is always the first train to run on newly laid track! I glue flextrack down with paintable, latex caulking compound (thanks to Terry Roberts for suggesting the caulk and the cans). After the track is bedded in the goop cans (corn, tomatoes, soup, etc.) are used to weight the track down until the caulk sets. Be sure to turn off track power before adding all those (conducting) cans (corollary: remove all the can's before turning the DCC booster back on - beep beep beep). These cans are holding down the track going to Redland along the lower deck branchline.
