I laminate masonite splines with yellow glue. This requires about a bajillion clamps. Some folks prefer to use a hot glue gun for the laminating. If you have a crew of 3 you can get a LOT of roadbed laminated that way because you only need wait a few seconds for the glue to set instead of an hour. But I'm mostly a solo roadbed builder and the extra working time of the yellow glue lets me tweak it into alignment as the clamps go on. And it's not like I can't find other things to do while the glue dries. This view is looking west from Mill City along the roadbed leading up to Oak Hill. I could only find 3/16" thick masonite so I'll need to add two more splines to make a wide enough roadbed (thanks to the @$%#*! folks in Home Despot's purchasing dept).
