The locos have passed over Rock Creek. Soon they'll be crossing the Santiam (on another temporary Masonite deck bridge). They are on the steepest, nastiest track on the railroad (so far). Although the grade is 2.7% the drag is compounded by a set of S-curves. The two SD-7 units will need everything they've got to pull the 29 car train through here!
