I airbrushed the track with PolyS Railroad Tie Brown before covering it with masking tape. Next step is building basic ground contours (and covering benchwork holes) with rigid styrofoam insulation. I covered the styrofoam with Sculptamold (I use this stuff because it can be drilled and carved when dry without cracking or chipping). This picture shows the turnback loop at the end of the BC&SJ peninsula after a layer of the white stuff has been applied.
