This is a view of the turnback blob at the end of the peninsula.
The (very) curved turnout connects the twin grain
elevator spurs to the track heading back to Bear Creek (to the right
of the camera). Contrast the light rail and
tight curves with the slightly super-elevated mainline. In the
far background trains are parked near the temporary west end ladder
in Salem (lower level) staging.
